The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $106,000 to $132,500.
Job Summary
Responsible for managing the full scope of various programs and projects on behalf of the Company
associated with the ECC Operations organization.
Approve and control ECC programs and projects budgets, when not supported by Operations
Technologies.
Responsible for bench marking and improving Energy Control Center processes at IUSA level.
Participate and provide support on global benchmarking studies for best practices identification,
standardization and implementation.
Supervise and mentor direct reports, and coordinate engagement of other project team members and
stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides technical expertise and leadership on various Company projects and programs
associated with the Energy Control Center and its associated system. Manage all initiatives
associated with the development and enhancement of Siemens Spectrum environment and
associated integration requirements. Coordinates various work activities of project teams.
Provides periodic status reports to senior management and/or Steering Committees with respect
to project/program progress.
- Estimate and approve ECC programs and project budgets in areas not supported by Operations
Technologies, General Services or IT department, such as: Switching orders and outage
processes, reliability reporting, ECC phone and radio systems standardizations, ECC emergency
plans, etc.
- Benchmark ECC related business processes performance at various levels. Interact with Avangrid
Networks teams to achieve best practices standardization across Avangrid Networks group.
Coordinates development of common tool set and processes and protocols for IUSA ECC.
Works with management to advise and ensure programs/projects are consistent with corporate
strategy and objectives. Consults on budget considerations and the economic impact for projects
and programs. Prepares plans and budgets for projects and programs, as applicable. Monitors
progress against the plans and budgets including periodic schedule and cost reporting reports.
- Acts as liaison between cross-functional project teams, involving many types of personnel. Holds
regular project/program status meetings with project team. Ensures project team members
accountable for results.
- Leads direct reports and project team members on projects and programs to accomplish day-today
goals and provides expertise and immediacy of decision-making. As required, secures
necessary resources (internal and/or external) to complete the assigned project.
- Administers contracts including preparation and approval of change orders when appropriate.
Participate in contract negotiations when necessary.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years relevant experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Energy Control Centers.
• Experience as a team member or team leader on at least two major projects or programs.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Extensive know-how on power network operations.
• Ability to perform global benchmarking, estimate budgets and make cost-benefit analysis.
• Strategic thinking, ability to identify clear goals and priorities that drive achievement of the
Company Mission.
