Description
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant in the Augusta area. This role involves working closely with the Corporate Controller and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis to ensure financial accuracy.
• Review financial documents for compliance and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets, recording additions and disposals appropriately.
• Support external audits by preparing required documentation and addressing inquiries.
• Analyze fiscal data to track financial performance and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with the Controller and team members to enhance internal processes and implement cost-effective improvements.
• Execute special projects as assigned by the Corporate Controller, ensuring timely completion.
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with complex datasets.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members across departments.
• Experience with Sage and/or Access software is a plus.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
