Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director Facilities Management is responsible for the overall supervision and maintenance operation of the facility. Position responsibilities include compliance with federal, state, and local codes, ensuring routine maintenance checks are completed and documentation is maintained, ensures all emergency systems are functional and operate properly, and is responsible for following established safety rules and policy and procedures. The Director will work closely with all departments to ensure routine maintenance and repair work are completed. The Director is also responsible for interviewing, overseeing training and development of direct reports, and coaching and counseling employees as needed. He/she is also responsible for managing and working within the Plant Operations budget.

What qualifications you will need:

· Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred. Additional technical training or college degree preferred.

· Experience: Prior experience as a Director of Plant Operations in a Hospital setting or 5 years’ experience as Plant Operations Maintenance Supervisor, to include electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, generator, medical gases along with large and small construction projects in a hospital environment. Other preferred experience includes knowledge of Joint Commission Environment of Care, Life Safety and NFPA (Fire Protection) knowledge. The position works closely with clinical staff to maintain a safe operating environment for staff, patients and visitors.
