About the Role
As a Placement Broker, you’ll support our Placement Leads in designing and delivering placement strategies across key lines of business. You will assist with program design, insurer engagement, market negotiations, analytics insights, and supporting client teams with market intelligence and solutions.
This role is instrumental in ensuring Aon delivers placement excellence, operational efficiency, and exceptional client outcomes across our New Zealand portfolio.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Assisting Placement Leads with program design and strategic account reviews
Supporting portfolio management and insurer engagement across NZ, London, Asian and Australian markets
Providing market insights and advice to client servicing teams
Developing an understanding of placement strategy and tactics to achieve client and business goals
Building and maintaining strong relationships with underwriters and carriers
Creating and sharing insights using Aon’s data and analytics platforms
Supporting tender responses, retention strategies, and client acquisition
Applying operational excellence, embedding Aon United principles, and championing continuous improvement
Identifying and managing conduct, operational, privacy and third ‑ party risks
Skills and Experience that will lead to success: You’ll bring a strong understanding of major product lines — particularly Property, General Liability and Motor — paired with the ability to interpret policy wordings and provide data-informed recommendations. Relationship building, communication, and negotiation strengths are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment as part of a small and agile team.
