Engineering Geologist - Auckland
Our Auckland team is looking for an enthusiastic Engineering Geologist to help deliver high quality professional services to our varied clients. In this role you will undertake field investigations and inspections, conduct field mapping, assess slope stability, take core samples, prepare technical reporting, support physical works contract delivery, and provide clear, practical geological insight to clients and project teams.
This role will suit someone who enjoys a mix of field and office work, values strong team culture, and wants to grow their technical capability across a wide range of infrastructure, geotechnical and civil projects. You’ll work alongside an experienced, supportive team, helping to grow our capability in the region.
About you:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering Geology.
Minimum 2 years professional experience in Engineering Geology.
Strong field skills and a practical mindset.
Comfortable working independently in the field while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
Ability to prioritise multiple demands and maintain high standards of technical accuracy.
Familiarity with geological software packages and tools such as ArcGIS/QGIS, Leapfrog, gINT, or similar.
Clear, confident communicator who enjoys building relationships with clients and peers.
Considerate of others’ views and input.
Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
