Work Schedule: Full-Time (Day Shift, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm)
Compensation: $21.00 - $38.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

Tessera is seeking a new Receiving and Production Support Technician to join our manufacturing team in Auburn, Washington. The Receiving and Production Support Technician is responsible for executing compliant receiving operations for raw material, hardware, and subcontracted services while also providing hands-on production support within fabrication and part finishing areas. This role supports overall material flow, quality assurance at the point of receipt, and shop throughput by flexing between receiving and production activities based on workload demands.
The Receiving and Production Support Technician will have limited inspection authority and is responsible for performing defined inspection activities in accordance with Tessera QMS Work Instructions, and Quality Procedures. The role works closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure material and product conformity, traceability, and efficient movement through the facility.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Receive incoming raw material, hardware, tooling, and subcontracted product in accordance with Tessera QMS receiving procedures.
Verify purchase order requirements, quantities, part numbers, revision levels, and documentation accuracy (certifications, C of C, test reports).
Perform visual and dimensional inspections as defined by work instructions and quality plans.
Apply delegated quality inspection stamp for receiving inspection where authorized.
Ensure proper material identification, labeling, and traceability throughout the receiving process.
Enter receiving transactions into the ERP/MRP system accurately and in a timely manner.
Coordinate nonconforming material processing with Quality (NCR initiation, segregation, and disposition support).
Stage, transport, and route material to appropriate production areas.
Execute receiving inspection activities under delegated inspection authority, in accordance with documented quality procedures.
Maintain inspection records and objective evidence required for customer and regulatory compliance.
Support in-process inspections of WIP and hardware as assigned.
Escalate quality concerns, discrepancies, or documentation issues promptly to Quality leadership.
Maintain inspection stamp accountability per quality system requirements.
Support fabrication and part finishing operations as workload requires, including: Deburring, edge break, surface preparation, and cleaning. CNC Machine and manual equipment operation per job traveler and engineering requirements. Basic fabrication tasks per work instructions
Assist with job staging, kitting, and movement of WIP between departments.
Follow all work instructions, routers, and quality requirements for production tasks.
Provide indirect support to CNC milling and assembly departments, including: Material staging and replenishment, tool or fixture transport, and basic assembly or handwork tasks as trained and authorized.

Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED is required.
2+ years of previous experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, or regulated industrial environment is required. Previous experience in an AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified environment is preferred.
Previous experience with receiving inspection, materials handling, or shop-floor support is required. Prior delegated inspection or quality support experience is preferred.
Must be able to read and interpret: purchase orders, engineering drawings and revisions, customer specifications, and certifications and inspection documentation
Must have working knowledge of basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, scales).
Must be comfortable working in a production environment and flexing between roles.
Must have strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
Previous exposure to CNC machining, fabrication, or aerospace finishing processes is preferred.
Basic understanding of aerospace material specifications and hardware standards is preferred.
Current forklift certification or ability to obtain is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
A valid state driver’s license is preferred with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
