Job Title: Logistics Lead
Job Description
The Logistics Lead plays a crucial role in supporting a culture of teamwork and excellence. This position ensures that field teams receive ordered items in a timely manner and maintains confidence in the Shipping and Receiving department by ensuring all materials and supplies are accounted for and properly organized.
Responsibilities
Receive all freight and material at the shop.
Log received materials and freight into the appropriate platform.
Delegate loading of deliveries, ensuring trucks are ready for morning deliveries.
Coordinate shop deliveries with the Field Superintendent to ensure items are packaged, marked, and staged appropriately.
Create pack slips for all deliveries.
Maintain the shop fleet, including cleaning and servicing.
Build crates and boxes as necessary.
Organize and mark inbound materials per job and project manager requirements.
Keep the Shipping and Receiving area organized and clear.
Perform additional duties such as shop cleanup and assisting other departments.
Ensure assigned drivers comply with all city and state traffic laws.
Essential Skills
Experience in inventory management and logistics.
Proficiency in shipping and receiving operations.
Strong inventory control abilities.
Effective leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules.
Familiarity with S/R paperwork.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ideally 5 years of experience in a warehouse or shop.
Valid WA driver's license.
Forklift Operations certificate.
Basic computer skills.
Understanding of light truck and commercial vehicle laws.

Work Environment
Work takes place in a fabrication shop in Auburn. The shift is from Monday to Thursday, with reduced hours on Friday. The environment is dynamic, with opportunities to work with various delivery tools and maintain shop facilities. The dress code aligns with standard safety and operational requirements.

This is a Contract position based out of Auburn, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
