Job Title: Aerospace Assembly Technician (Weekend Shift)
Job Description
Join a well-established, family-oriented aerospace manufacturer as a Weekend Aerospace Assembly Technician, where you will assemble interior aircraft components using Boeing blueprints and a wide range of hand and power tools. You will play a key role in producing high-quality aerospace parts for major aerospace and defense programs while working in a structured, safety-focused production environment.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret assembly instructions, technical drawings, and Boeing blueprints to understand assembly requirements.
Gather and organize all necessary materials, hardware, and tools needed to complete each assembly process.
Assemble interior aerospace components accurately and efficiently in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
Perform mechanical assembly tasks including riveting, countersinking, bracketing, and installing various aerospace hardware.
Use a variety of tools such as riveters, hand and air drills, arbor presses, hand deburring tools, and other hand and power tools to complete assemblies.
Inspect in-process and finished products to verify quality and ensure they meet all required standards and specifications.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve assembly issues or defects, escalating concerns when necessary.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area to support safe and productive operations.
Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and protocols throughout the assembly process to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members, leads, and other departments as needed to meet production goals and schedules.
Work independently on assigned tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
Essential Skills
Proven experience as an aerospace assembler, preferably 5+ years of aerospace assembly experience.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and blueprints, including Boeing blueprints.
Strong understanding of mechanical principles, assembly methods, and common aerospace hardware.
Demonstrated proficiency with hand and power tools, including riveters, hand and air drills, arbor presses, and hand deburring tools.
Hands-on experience with riveting and countersinking operations in an aerospace or similar precision environment.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise, high-quality assembly work.
Excellent hand–eye coordination and sufficient physical stamina to perform repetitive assembly tasks.
Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team-oriented production environment.
Good communication skills to follow instructions, report issues, and collaborate with colleagues.
Commitment to following safety guidelines, quality standards, and established procedures in a manufacturing setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ideally 5 years of aerospace assembly experience, including interior aircraft components or similar aerospace structures.
Experience working in an aerospace manufacturing, machine shop, or production environment.
Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes using power tools and hand tools in a production setting.
Ability to maintain an organized work area and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment
This role is based in an aerospace manufacturing and machine shop environment focused on the production of interior aircraft components. You will work primarily on the weekend shift in a structured, production-driven setting that emphasizes safety, precision, and adherence to engineering standards. The position involves frequent use of hand and power tools such as riveters, hand and air drills, arbor presses, and hand deburring tools, as well as regular handling of metal parts and hardware. The facility operates as a typical industrial shop, where you can expect standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, and working at benches or assembly stations. Safety protocols are strictly followed, and appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment are required to ensure a safe and professional environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
