Adecco US, Inc. Maintenance Mechanic in Auburn, Maine

Adecco is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic to join our client’s team in Auburn, ME. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and can work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor machinery to identify performance issues or malfunctions

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment such as motors, belts, drives, and fluid systems

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools

  • Repair or replace defective components and restore equipment to proper working condition

  • Disassemble machinery to access and remove worn or damaged parts

  • Clean, lubricate, and adjust equipment and components as needed

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to complete maintenance tasks

  • Fabricate or repair parts through cutting, welding, or assembly

  • Measure, cut, and bend conduit and wiring as required

  • Install or repair electrical systems, piping, and mechanical components

  • Accurately document work performed, including basic SAP system entries

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Electrical Journeyman Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of machine maintenance experience in manufacturing

  • Boiler Operator Certification or the ability to obtain to obtain one within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Technology

  • Knowledge of material control concepts

Schedule

· 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM (8-hour shifts)

Pay:

· Based on your experience Level

Benefits

  • Paid Time Off:

  • 120 hours of vacation

  • 40 hours sick/personal time available after 90-day probation, prorated based on start date

  • 11 Paid Holidays annually
