ManpowerGroup Quality Engineer in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Our client, an automotive supplier, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a vital part of the quality assurance department, you will support continuous improvement initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326

Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000 + 5% Bonus

What's the Job?

  • Act as a primary contact for customer inquiries and quality-related issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.

  • Evaluate and audit suppliers to verify compliance with quality standards and collaborate on improvement initiatives.

  • Support ongoing serial production by implementing and monitoring quality checks aligned with design and manufacturing processes.

  • Analyze warranty data from OEMs to identify trends, address issues, and prepare dispute documentation as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as IATF 16949, and prepare comprehensive quality reports for management review.

What's Needed?

  • 1-5 years of relevant experience in quality engineering within the automotive industry (supplier- not OEM)

  • Knowledge of quality management systems, including IATF 16949, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies (preferred).

  • Hands-on experience with PPAP documentation and submission processes, preferably with OEM systems like GM, Stellantis, or Ford.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
