+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Job Summary | | | | · Deliver materials to the production line to build parts. | | Prepare material for changeover of production lines to have minimal | | down time. Put away material once taken away from the line in correct | | locations. Put material from transfer trucks in racks in designated | | locations. | | | | Supervisory Responsibilities | | | | · None. | | | | Essential Functions | | | | Material Handling | | | | · Deliver product to production line to build parts. | | | | · Put material away from deliveries in the correct location in | | the rack. | | | | · Prepare material for changeovers on production lines to | | ensure a quick changeover. | | | | · Maintain organization and cleanliness of racks. | | | | · Pull wood boards off the walls of pallets once removed. | | | | · Label Boxes and scan to line once material is brought to | | line. | | | | · Pull cardboard off pallets and stack them to be put in the | | scrap trailer. | | | | · All areas of logistics need to be clean swept and ready for | | the next shift. | | | | · Materials need to be stocked and ready for the next shift to | | start. | | | | · Scan all materials correctly to the line. | | | | · May be asked to assist in dock functions as needed. | | | | · Perform other related duties as requested. | | | | Dock handling | | | | · Identifies and transports requested materials to and from | | various locations including machines, loading docks, trucks, and | | storage areas. | | | | · Obtains p oduction schedule and/or shipping orders and then | | identifies, verifies, and transports requested raw materials, | | equipment, or processing materials accordingly. | | | | · Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading | | schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items. | | | | · Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect | | and secure loads; once delivered, removes strapping and wrapping, | | then safely disposes of waste materials in designated containers or | | areas. | | | | · Reports any problems with materials or transportation to | | supervisor. | | | | · Manages piles, skids, pallets, and other supplies in | | specified areas. | | | | · Services equipment as needed, reporting mechanical or | | electrical difficulties to Supervisor. | | | | · May be asked to assist in material handling functions as | | needed. | | | | · Performs other related duties as requested. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
