Intake Therapist (LPC or LLPC) – 13-Week Contract with Potential to Extend or Convert

Employer: Easterseals MORC (contract through Amergis Healthcare Staffing)

Location: 6900 E. Ten Mile Rd., Center Line, MI 48015

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)

Hours: 37.5 per week

Contract Length: 13 weeks (extensions common; temp-to-perm available)

As an Intake Therapist, you’ll be the first clinical touchpoint—conducting comprehensive assessments and setting patients on the right path to care. You’ll work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team and leverage your assessment and diagnostic strengths in a high-trust, professional environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide walk-in and virtual intake services in a clinic with same-day intake window (8:30 AM – 2:30 PM)

  • Complete and document:

  • Biopsychosocial assessment

  • Risk assessment

  • Diagnosis

  • Level of care tool

  • Preliminary treatment plan

  • See approximately 2–4 individuals per day (average session 60 minutes)

  • Collaborate with non-clinical reception and support staff as part of a smooth intake flow

  • Serve a mixed caseload of adults and children

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Michigan license as an LPC or LLPC (LMSW fully licensed also considered by client; limited licenses may be considered for highly qualified candidates)

  • At least 1 year of experience treating individuals with mental illness or 1 year in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families

  • Meets all federal, state, and local requirements (CPR, TB/health certificate if applicable)

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance (confirmation required)

  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills

Compensation

  • LPC: $50/hour (local)

  • LLPC: $45/hour (local)

Tools and Training

  • EMR: Emerge (full training provided)

  • Orientation: Week-long orientation

  • Dress Code: Business casual

Interview and Hiring Process

  • Client interview required (the client will call within your stated availability—please return any missed calls promptly)

  • This is a 13-week temporary contract through Amergis with common extensions and potential temp-to-perm conversion by Easterseals MORC. Conversion to internal is not guaranteed-based on performance
