Winkelmann Flowform Technology CNC Operator (Computer Numeric Control Operator) in Auburn, Alabama
Available through the OJT Program
- Set-up CNC machines and other production equipment
- Modify cutting programs as needed
- Change tooling, setup machines, transfer programs to CNC modules
- Control coolant systems
- Perform manual machining on manual lathes, drill presses, and mills
- Administer use of inspection and measuring equipment including micrometers and calipers
- Identify equipment issues and aid in troubleshooting to resolve
- Identify quality issues or damage to product and aid in troubleshooting to resolve
- Aid in warehousing and/or forklift operations as needed
- Ensure all non-conforming material is clearly identified according to policy
- Perform visual inspections
- Follow all safety guidelines and standards for equipment and facility
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe work environment
- Perform tasks and support other production stations as needed or assigned by your Team Leader/Supervisor
- Learn and apply understanding of cutting tools, power tools, their uses and selections, speeds, etc.
- Learn and apply skill with CNC mills and lathes using CAM software
- Learn and apply understanding of blueprints
- Learn and apply mechanical aptitude and computer skill
- Learn and safely operate a Forklift
- Learn and use a variety of metal materials and their machinability
- Display competencies to learn and utilize active listening
- Be able to work in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to non-toxic fumes
- Be able to constantly perform repetitive motions, sitting, standing, and using both hands
- Be able to pull up to 75lbs and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Be able to occasionally stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop and squat for up to a 12-hour period
- Be able to visually inspect work with or without aid
- Learn and apply excellent manual dexterity

- Approve, document properly, re-work, and escalate items to the Team Lead where applicable and by confirming specifications
- Ensure all non-conforming material is segregated and handled according to policy
- Cross train on other equipment and systems
- Aid in warehousing to receive inventory as needed
- Clean and conduct routine maintenance on machines
- Operate and maintain CNC machines and other production equipment
- Review program specifications to set machine parameters
- Abide by all Winkelmann Flowform rules, regulations, protocols and guidelines
- Attending meetings and training as required
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
