[1. Hold an Ohio Special Education teacher's certificate for speech and hearing therapy. ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
[2. Hold an Ohio License from the Ohio Board of Speech Pathology and Audiology. ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
[REPORTS TO AND IS EVALUATED BY: ]{times="" new="" roman";="" font-weight:="" bold"=""}[Building Principal/Superintendent ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}[PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES]{times="" new="" roman";="" font-weight:="" bold"=""}[: ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
[1. Identification of children with speech and language handicaps. 2. Diagnosis and appraisal of speech and/or language handicaps. 3. Provide appropriate habilitation of communicative handicaps. 4. Referral for appropriate habilitation. ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
[5. Counseling and guidance of parents, children, and staff regarding speech and language handicaps. ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
[6. Participate in IAT and IEP meetings as needed. ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
[7. Provide inservice for school and community. ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
[8. Other functions as needed in relationship to speech and hearing as directed by the building principals. ]{times="" new="" roman""=""}
