Star Engineering Cable & Wire-Harness Assembly Engineer in Attleboro Falls, Massachusetts

Cable &Wire-Harness Assembly Engineering / Floor Technician *** We are seeking a skilled Cable & Wire-Harness Assembly Engineering/Floor Technician to support both our Manufacturing Engineering team and our Production Floor. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations, accurate process documentation, and successful new product introductions.*** Job Summary: - This position acts as the liaison between Manufacturing Engineering and Production. You will support regular production schedules, build prototypes and first-time builds, and help introduce new product lines. Responsibilities: - Support communication and workflow between engineering and production. - Build prototypes and initial production builds. - Write and update cable/wire harness assembly work instructions. - Operate semi-automatic equipment, including wire/cable cut machines, crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire strippers. - Perform functional and continuity testing using test fixtures. - Solder wires, terminals, electromechanical devices, and electronic components. - Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of assemblies and finished products. - Assist with sourcing wires, cables, connectors, terminals, components, and tools. Qualifications: - 5 - 10 years of cable/wire harness manufacturing experience. - IPC-620 knowledge and certification required. - Ability to write clear, accurate assembly process instructions. - Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly/production experience. - Proficient in basic math. - Effective communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Preferred Experience - 5 -10 years? experience with cable/wire harness tooling and specialized machinery. - Experience sourcing basic electrical components and tools.
