Alabama Department of Corrections - Southern Region No Contact Security Guard- Clayton, Clio in Atmore, Alabama
The Correctional Security Guard is a permanent, full-time position with the Department of Corrections. Positions are located throughout the state. This is non-APOST certified correctional security work assigned within prison facilities where firearms certification is not required, such as general population areas and/or specialized housing units. No written examination is required. No employment register is maintained. MINIMUM REQUIREMENT(S)
High school diploma or GED
Eighteen (18) years of age ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT(S)
Applicants must possess a valid driver license or state issued identification card from their State of residency.
Applicants must be a citizen of the United States.
Applicants must pass a drug screen.
Applicants must successfully complete a background investigation.
Applicants must have no felony or domestic violence convictions. NOTE(S)
Applicants may be assigned anywhere within the State.
