Facility Overview

This position is within a large acute care hospital serving Palm Beach County. The facility offers comprehensive services including emergency care, cardiovascular services, neurosciences, robotic surgery, orthopedic and spine care, bariatrics, behavioral health, obstetrics, stroke care, oncology services, and mechanical circulatory support programs. The hospital maintains multiple specialty accreditations and provides advanced cardiac and critical care services.

Position Summary

The RN ECMO Program Coordinator supports and coordinates the development, implementation, and daily operations of the hospital’s Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) program. This role collaborates closely with perfusion services, mechanical circulatory support teams, and cardiovascular critical care departments to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and program compliance.

The coordinator is responsible for program oversight, interdisciplinary collaboration, quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and clinical standards.

ECMO experience preferred; seasoned ICU nurses interested in transitioning into ECMO coordination will be considered.

Qualifications

  • Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license (in compliance with state regulations)

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire)

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire)

  • Critical care/ICU experience strongly preferred

  • ECMO experience preferred but not required

Pay Details: $38.52 to $57.77 per hour
