Ziegler Inc. Ag Sales Account Manager in Atlantic, Iowa
Ziegler Ag Equipment has an opening for a customer‑focused and ambitious sales professional to join our Ag Sales Team. The Ag Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing local customer relationships and selling products that fit their needs and operations. This person represents all of Ziegler Ag Equipment’s new product lines including, but not limited to, FENDT, Massey Ferguson, Gleaner, Brandt, Geringhoff, CAT, as well as Ziegler’s extensive used inventory. This position offers a competitive base salary with uncapped commission. Sales Account Managers are also provided with a company vehicle and the latest in business technology.
The sales territory covers the following counties; Mills, Montgomery, Fremont, Page, Adams, Taylor Union and Ringgold.
Candidates must reside within one of the counties included in this territory to be considered for the role.
Responsibilities:
Promote and sell equipment to perspective and existing customers
Serve as a primary point of contact between customers and Ziegler Ag Equipment, ensuring a positive overall experience
Build strong rapport with customers while maintaining an appropriate balance between personal and professional relationships
Assist all of Ziegler walk‑in customers by responding to their needs promptly and professionally
Collaborate with the Ag Regional Sales Manager and other team members, including product specialists and manufacturer representatives, throughout the sales process
Meet with assigned customers in person or on site to understand their operational needs and provide tailored product recommendations
Promptly follow up on all customer leads, requests, and inquiries.
Prospect and engage with new customers on a regular basis to expand customer base and grow market share
Create and deliver quotes, product information, and materials that support customer decision‑making
Conduct machine presentations and demonstrations, ensuring customers clearly understand product capabilities and fit for their operation
Manage the sales process by asking effective questions, identifying customer needs, and actively listening to provide informed solutions
Accurately maintain customer information and all sales activities within the CRM system
Prepare and submit sales contracts accurately and in a timely manner
Plan and execute a pricing strategy that aligns with company policy
Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding competitive products, industry trends, and competitor activity
Work cooperatively with management and colleagues across departments to support a strong team‑selling environment
Resolve customer issues both within and outside of the direct sales process, ensuring customer satisfaction and long‑term relationships
Maintain strong relationships with key accounts to support ongoing business opportunities
Promote all products, parts, and service offerings to customers based on their needs
Present a professional, neat, and clean personal appearance at all times
Plans ahead for customer calls, territory activities, and strategic selling opportunities
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s degree preferred in business or agriculture-related field
Strong agricultural background.
Prior sales experience in ag equipment or related equipment is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Excellent written, electronic, and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and CRM systems.
Strong work ethic and the ability to act with a sense of urgency.
Willingness and ability to operate equipment for demonstration purposes after proper training.
Key personal characteristics: self-motivated, customer-focused, learning-oriented, considerate/empathic, confident, and a strong team player.
Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
Travel:
- Up to 50% travel; minimal overnight travel required
Minimum Physical Requirements:
Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing.
Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be moderate at times.

The total compensation (base plus incentive) for this position is
$136,000.00 to $204,000.00
Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, and education. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
