Description
This is a part time position requiring up to 26 hours per week.
Examples of Duties
Reports to the Assistant Director of Workforce Development Operations; provides instruction for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy
programs as directed and uses effective teaching methods; responsible for monitoring and submitting daily sign-in sheets and other required forms in
support of the program and documenting the progress of the students; performs related duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Must hold a current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification (CCMA) as well as a Phlebotomy (CPT). Minimum of three years of experience working
in the field as a CCMA and have hands-on experience in the following areas for at least 3 years or more: Vitals, EKGs, Injections (Intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal), Blood Specimen Collection (urine and other lab samples), Infection Control, and Aseptic Technique.
In addition to clinical skills, must have a broad command of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology, and the ability to obtain patient
histories. Possess working knowledge of front desk duties. Strong computer skills using Word, Excel, and EMR.
Supplemental Information
Must be available to teach days, evenings, and weekends at any Atlantic Cape location.

Eligible part-time employees will be enrolled into the DCRP (Defined Contribution Retirement Plan) pension (https://www.nj.gov/treasury/pensions/pension-active-dcrp.shtml) . Employees contribute 5% of their base salary and the college contributes 3% of base salary. Investment options are managed through Prudential Retirement. Life insurance benefits through DCRP are payable to the beneficiary at 1.5X the member's salary.
