Atlantic Cape Community College seeks qualified adjunct instructors to deliver high-quality instruction at our three full-service campuses. If you are qualified to teach at Atlantic Cape, your materials will be maintained in a pool of qualified candidates. As teaching opportunities arise throughout the academic year, you may be contacted by the College for an interview.
Compensation: $780 per contact hour
Examples of Duties
Adjunct Instructors are needed to teach Academic English Language to non-native speakers at the Atlantic City, Mays Landing, or Cape May Campuses (day or evening). Course content includes academic :
• Reading
• Writing
• Listening
• Grammar
• Speaking
Typical Qualifications
Prior ESL or English teaching experience.
Master's degree in TESOL or related field preferred. Instructors may be hired with a bachelor's degree and/or appropriate experience.

Your campus location preference from among Mays Landing, Atlantic City, and Cape May Court House.
Courses/Disciplines you have taught or you deem qualified to teach.
You may also wish to express an interest in teaching Continuing Education courses and seminars.
Tuition Waiver - adjuncts may enroll for one credit course, tuition-free, during any semester they are teaching.
Paid sick leave in accordance with the NJ Paid Sick Leave Law
ABP (Alternate Benefit Program (https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/pensions/pension-active-abp.shtml) is a defined contribution retirement program for adjuncts. Adjuncts contribute 5% of base salary and the college contributes 8% of base salary. There are seven State-authorized ABP investment carriers. Life insurance benefits through ABP are payable to the beneficiary at 3.5X the member's salary.
