Planner IPerforms planning and programming activities in support of management-related programs and/or transportation projects. Work requires contact with departmental managers, high-level executives, governmental/university officials and/or private entities. Employees at this level follow standard practices that do not require frequent supervision of details.Planner IIPerforms planning and programming activities in support of management-related programs and/or transportation projects. Work requires contact with departmental managers, high-level executives, governmental/university officials and/or private entities. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.Planner IIIPerforms complex planning and programming activities in support of management-related programs and/or transportation projects.Work requires contact with departmental managers, high-level executives, governmental/university officials and/or privateentities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarelyreferred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.Essential Duties:Planner ILeads efforts in planning, coordinating, scheduling, and implementing public involvement activities and outreachServes as a project leader organizing public meeting/hearing activities and preparing presentation materials for public hearings and public meetings. Works with consultants and other entities to assist in these tasksAssists in reviewing and preparing correspondence, reports, studies, giving briefings and making presentations regarding program activitiesPrepare presentations in PowerPoint and PublisherDesign and updates project informational websitesPrepares departmental public notice announcements for publishing in newspapers and social mediaProvides general information and support to governmental officials, sponsors, users and the public Performs other job responsibilities as assigned Additional duties for Planner II include:Develop and maintain accessible and engaging content for public communications, including presentations, reports, newsletters, and digital mediaPerforms analysis of data and preparation of reports based on feedback and input from public engagement activities and presents actionable insights to District leadership Additional duties for Planner III include:Performs complex planning and programming activities in support of management-related programs and/or transportation projectsRepresents the Department at local, state, and federal levels
