Robert Half Systems Administrator in Atlanta, Georgia
Description We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This Contract to permanent position involves managing a hybrid IT environment that includes both on-premises and cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate will independently oversee system maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to infrastructure upgrades and modernization efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine administration tasks for Windows and Linux-based systems.
• Manage and maintain virtualized infrastructure using platforms such as Oracle VM Manager, Hyper-V, and VMware.
• Monitor the performance, health, and availability of servers and applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, applications, and networking.
• Apply system updates, patches, and security configurations to ensure a secure environment.
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes to safeguard data.
• Participate in system migrations, upgrades, and efforts to modernize infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for system configurations and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to address technical issues and implement improvements.
• Provide after-hours support as needed for maintenance windows or critical issues. Requirements • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in systems administration within hybrid environments.
• Proficiency in managing Windows Server environments and Linux distributions.
• Strong expertise with Oracle VM Manager and virtualization platforms like Hyper-V or VMware.
• Proven ability to support both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Solid troubleshooting skills across various domains, including compute, storage, networking, and applications.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, Windows 10, Dell Technologies, and Citrix Technologies. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
