Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled professional to design and deliver scalable data lakehouse and data warehouse solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory, along with experience leading enterprise cloud data migration and modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and implement Azure-based Data Lakehouse solutions
Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Lead on-prem to Azure cloud data migrations
Build batch and real-time ingestion pipelines (Event Hub preferred)
Mentor team members and collaborate with business stakeholders
Required Skills
10 years of Data Engineering experience
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
Proficiency in PySpark and SQL
Experience with data modeling and performance tuning
CI/CD experience in Azure DevOps
Strong communication and leadership skills
Must be onsite at the client in Atlanta, GA 2-3 days per week
Good to Have
Experience with Azure Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL)
Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
Ensure data governance, security (RBAC, Azure AD), and monitoring
Design dimensional data models (Star/Snowflake schemas)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with real-time streaming (Event Hub, Kafka, or similar)
Power BI or other BI platform experience
Azure or Databricks certifications
Experience in Financial Services
Soft Skills
Communication – directly working with business
