Description
TheSeniorProjectManager /Coordinator –PatientSafety &Qualityprovidesenterpriseleadershipforgovernance,safetydatastewardship,structuredanalytics,andreportinginfrastructuresupportingEmoryHealthcare’sSafetyManagementSystem (SMS).
ThisrolesupportstheOneEmoryZeroHarmstrategyandparticipationinthePatientSafetyOrganization (PSO)byservingastheenterprisestewardoftheeventreportingplatform.Thepositionensuresstandardizedsystemconfiguration,workflowintegrity,analyticrigor,anddataaccuracyacrossallOperatingUnits.
ThroughcollaborationwithEnterpriseQualityData &Analytics,Digital/IT,andPatientSafetyandRiskleadership,thisroleenhancesvisibilityintosafetytrends,strengthensgovernanceoversight,andsupportstheSafetyPromotion,LearningSystems,andSafetyAssurancedomainsoftheSMS.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Enterprise Governance & Event Reporting Platform Oversight
Serveastheenterprisesubjectmatterexpertfortheeventreportingplatform,includinggovernance,requirementsgathering,systemoptimization,testing,andpost-implementationevaluation.
Coordinatecross-functionalgovernanceprocesses,includingdocumentation,decisiontracking,andchangecontrol.
Maintainsystemconfigurationstandardstoensureauditreadiness,accreditationcompliance,andPSOalignment.
Overseesystemintegrityacrossallenvironmentsandrecommendenhancementsalignedwithenterprisepriorities.
Safety Data Stewardship & Analytics
Serveasenterprisestewardofsafetydataelementsandclassificationstandards.
Performadvancedanalytics,includingSSERtrends,contributingfactoraggregation,andnear-misssignaldetection.
Developexecutivedashboardsandstructuredreportsalignedwithenterprisedefinitionsandmethodologies.
KPI Governance, Reporting & Board Accountability
Operationalizeleadership-approvedsafetyKPIswithintheeventreportingplatform.
DevelopandmanagemonthlyenterprisedashboardsandquarterlyBoard-levelreports.
Ensureaccuracy,validation,reconciliation,andtimelydisseminationofexecutiveandOperatingUnitreporting.
Data Reconciliation & Validation
Performroutinereconciliationofeventclassifications,investigationtimelines,andPSOsubmissions.
Maintainaudittrails,variancelogs,andconductperiodicdataqualityaudits.
System Event Review Team ( SERT) Support
SupportweeklySystemEventReviewTeam (SERT)meetingsthrougheventcollation,documentationvalidation,andtrendanalysispreparation.
Trackactionitemsandidentifyrecurringsystem-levelthemes.
lessonslearnedacrosstheenterprisethroughtheSAFERprogram.
Patient Safety Organization ( PSO) Participation
SupportPSOparticipationandensurecompliancewithPatientSafetyWorkProduct (PSWP)protections.
CoordinatePSOsubmissionsandintegratebenchmarkinginsightsintosafetyintelligenceprocesses.
ServeastheprimarypointofcontactforPSO-relatedreportingincollaborationwiththePSOvendor.
Safety Learning & Culture Initiatives
LeadtheSafetyLessonsLearnedprogram,includingdevelopment,dissemination,andtracking.
SupportCultureofSafetyinitiatives,includingthe “ItHappenedHere”program.
UtilizetheeventreportingplatformtocaptureandsharesafetystoriesacrossOperatingUnits.
Training, System Support & Downtime Coordination
Provideongoingtrainingthroughofficehours,just-in-timesupport,andonboardingeducation.
TrainnewemployeesonthesafetyeventreportingplatformandPSO-relatedprocesses.
Coordinateplannedandunplannedsystemdowntimes,includingcommunication,recovery,anddataintegrityvalidation.
TrainPatientSafetyManagerstosupportdowntimeproceduresandcommunicationprotocols.
Collaboration & Communication
Maintainstrongcommunicationwithstakeholdersacrosstheenterprise.
Providetimelyupdates,insights,andreportingfromtheeventreportingsystem.
Collaboratewithcross-functionalpartnerstoenhancesystemperformanceandreportingaccuracy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’sdegreeinHealthcareAdministration,Nursing,PublicHealth,Informatics,InformationSystems,orarelatedfieldrequired.
Experience
Minimumoffive (5)yearsofprogressiveexperiencein:
Healthcaretechnologyimplementation
Safetysystems
Enterpriseapplicationmanagement
Qualityanalytics
Experiencesupportinggovernancestructuresandexecutive-levelreportingrequired.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
Master’sdegreeinarelatedfieldpreferred.
Certifications
