Job description

This position will be reporting directly to the Global S&OP & Stock Manager & will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Sales & Operations Plan (S&OP) processes. This will be accomplished through conducting customer demand reviews, conducting internal/external supply reviews, leading the S&OP review meetings, & managing & deploying the inventory policy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of duties & responsibilities is not all-inclusive & may be expanded to include other duties & responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Coordinate all aspects of the Sales and Operations Plan (S&OP) process, including:

o Conduct customer demand reviews:

 Working with the Global Demand team to analyze & incorporate customer demand, over the timeframe of the S&OP

 Ensure that S&OP demand matches the objectives of the Division's/Branch/BU's strategic plan). If otherwise, alert management team on possible risks to the set annual budget/quarterly rolling forecast/MTP (5-year plan)

o Conduct Internal Supply Reviews:

 Work closely with the MRO Director & the various production lines leaders to ensure workload/capacity matching for critical resources, both internal (HR, critical machinery and equipment) & external (e.g subcontracting process)

 Identify workload/capacity matching variances (internal and external) over the timeframe of the S&OP (short, medium and long term)

 Propose solutions & prepare an action plan

 If scope for capacity adjustment needs to be measured over a long timeframe, & if it potentially involves significant recruitment &/or investment, break any adjustments down into milestones so that they can be “project managed” at regular intervals

o Conduct External Supply Reviews:

 Reviews external suppliers/subcontractors delivery & quality performances & flags for any corrective actions in order to ensure optimal level of service performances to sustain SSA's business needs

o Lead S&OP Review meetings with the site leadership team:

 Present the hypotheses used & action plan(s) proposed.

  Analyze demand hypotheses & associated impacts in terms of capacity adjustment in order to decide on the level of hypothesis to apply. Specify in particular the final deadlines for decisions on recruitment &/or investment, based on the timeframe for implementing those decisions after approval by senior management, pursue the action plan & implement the associated solutions, within your area of responsibility

o Manage & deploy the inventory policy in collaboration with the Global S&OP Manager:

 Define & Improve the Stocking methodologies & IT tools in collaboration with the Global S&OP Manager, then deploy it with the local team.

 Prepare the Inventory Monthly analysis & communicate it to the Supply Chain Manager.

 Define & coordinate action plans with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure convergence to the target level of inventories and work-in-process.

o Other duties as assigned

Candidate skills & requirements

a) Knowledge and Skills

• Proficiency in supply chain information systems (ERP, EDI, etc.)

• Previous supervisory or managerial experience will be an advantage

• Able to interact with all levels in the production/repair shops personnel

• Able to interact with site management teams, communicates results and ideas methodically and systematically

• Ability to analyze a complex problem involving numerous internal and external parties, find the root cause and propose solutions

• Ability to analyze information provided by other departments and assess the importance of variances and the consequences of them

• Ability to work in a complex and matrix type organization with both local & global reporting.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management or related discipline

• 7 -10 years of experiences in the Manufacturing or Aviation industry within the S&OP function (or related)

• Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in aviation and or aerospace as well as solid computer skills

• 5+ years Lean Sigma/projects experience

• Microsoft Project experience preferred

• Proficiency in MS Office tools

• PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus

d) Communication Skills

• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• English proficiency required
