Truist Asset Finance Technology group supporting ‘Asset Based Lending’ and ‘Supply Chain Finance’ portfolios is embarking on platform modernization initiatives from legacy technologies such as .NET framework and IBM iSeries technologies, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Angular Developer with deep expertise in building scalable, high performance web applications and delivering polished, user centric interfaces. This role requires strong proficiency in modern UI frameworks, UI/UX collaboration (Figma) and robust integration with .NET 8 Web APIs.

As a senior engineer, you will influence architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, collaborate across teams, and help shape best practices for front-end and API integration across the organization.

Location: This position is based in our Atlanta office and requires candidates to work onsite Monday through Friday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Lead the design and development of complex Angular applications with emphasis on modular architecture, performance optimization, and scalability.

  • Define and enforce coding standards, front-end architecture guidelines, and reusable component patterns.

  • Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools to drive continuous improvement.

Advanced Front-End Development

  • Build sophisticated, responsive, and dynamic UIs using Angular (v14+), TypeScript, RxJS, and modern front-end patterns.

  • Architect maintainable styling systems using SCSS, theming strategies, variable structuring, and component-level styling best practices.

  • Improve rendering performance, state management efficiency, and overall application responsiveness.

UI/UX Collaboration & Design Translation

  • Partner closely with UX/UI designers to translate Figma prototypes into high‑quality, pixel‑perfect components.

  • Provide technical guidance during design phases, ensuring feasibility, performance, and accessibility.

  • Champion user-centered design, accessibility (WCAG), and usability best practices.

Backend Integration & API Collaboration

  • Architect robust integration patterns for consuming .NET 8 Web APIs, including caching strategies, security considerations, and scalable request handling.

  • Collaborate with backend engineering teams to refine API contracts, optimize performance, and ensure alignment between client and server design.

  • Implement advanced RxJS or Signal patterns for async workflows, error handling, and API orchestration.

Quality, Documentation, & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct thorough code reviews, provide mentorship, and drive engineering excellence within the team.

  • Write automated tests (unit, integration) using Jasmine, Karma, or similar frameworks.

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and share ownership of deployment quality.

  • Promote clean architecture, documentation standards, and maintainability throughout the codebase.
