Position Summary

The Center for Maternal Health Equity ( CMHE ) at Morehouse School of Medicine aims to advance equity in maternal health by reducing maternal morbidity and mortality through community engagement, research, and advocacy.
The Program Manager will be responsible for providing strategic, operational, and administrative oversight of CMHE programs, including the NIH -funded Center to Advance Reproductive Justice and Behavioral Health among Black Pregnant and Postpartum Women ( CORAL ). This position will coordinate all activities, outputs, and outcomes related to program implementation — including project planning, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
The Program Manager will collaborate closely with Principal Investigators (PIs), Co-Investigators, and community partners to ensure successful execution and compliance with institutional and funding agency requirements. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in a relevant field from an accredited university with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership position managing projects.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience managing large, multi-component research or public health programs ( NIH experience preferred).
Prior experience in maternal health, behavioral health, or health equity strongly desired.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, reporting, and compliance for complex grants or initiatives.
Proven record of strong communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
Experience with program evaluation, data analysis, and report writing.
Other: Must be able to travel locally and domestically as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Principal Responsibilities
· Program & Project Management
· Oversee the day-to-day operations and implementation of CMHE programs, including CORAL .
· Coordinate activities across project cores, ensuring alignment with program goals and timelines.
· Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and deliverables; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
· Ensure all activities comply with institutional, grant, and regulatory requirements.
· Support program staff meetings, evaluation advisory boards, and coordinating committee meetings.
Strategic & Financial Oversight
· Support development and execution of strategic plans to achieve CMHE and CORAL objectives.
· Collaborate with leadership to set priorities, allocate resources, and track milestones.
· Develop and monitor program budgets, ensuring compliance with NIH and institutional guidelines.
· Prepare progress, financial, and performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Evaluation & Reporting
· Design and implement evaluation methods to assess program effectiveness, strengths, and areas for improvement.
· Collect, analyze, and interpret data to evaluate outcomes and inform decision-making.
· Prepare quarterly, biannual, and annual evaluation reports, as well as final project summaries.
· Present findings to program staff, leadership, and at conferences or professional meetings.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
· Serve as a liaison between CMHE , NIH program officers, collaborating institutions, and community partners.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, community organizations, and academic partners.
· Represent CMHE and CORAL at meetings, conferences, and events.
· Support dissemination of program results through newsletters, reports, and publications.
Research & Capacity Building
· Support the development of research plans, study designs, and data analysis strategies.
· Contribute to manuscripts, fact sheets, and other dissemination materials.
· Train data collectors and program staff in data quality assurance and evaluation methods.
· Help build the capacity of emerging investigators and project staff through mentorship and training initiatives.
Communication & Leadership
· Coordinate with internal and external communications teams to share program progress and impact.
· Maintain program websites and ensure dissemination of accurate, up-to-date information.
· Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment focused on excellence and equity.
· Supervise, mentor, and support program staff as needed.

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment.
