Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for IT Sr. Technical Product Engineers in Atlanta, GA.
Key Responsibilities
Work closelywith the Commercial Managers, Senior Product Managers, and development teams toanalyze and ensure that all teams clearly understand the functionalitiesrequired to meet market and consumer needs.
Communicateand clarify business needs to ensure that technology products and services arealigned across multiple business units, third-party, and partner IT domains.
Contributeto the development of long-range plans to support strategic business goals andensure that technology solutions meet business needs effectively.
Conductresearch, perform studies to obtain data, and analyze problems.
Advise andrecommend solutions to business issues utilizing knowledge of theory,principles, and technology of APIs and solving business problems withtechnology.
Targetcustomer and user definition, competitive positioning, and industry trends toexecute successful projects.
Work closelywith Product Owners on Agile development teams to translate product inputs intowell-defined functional requirements and user stories. Lead story-groomingsessions and requirements clarifications sessions.
Translateproduct strategy into requirement documents, use cases, and process flows. Workwith application support and development teams to fix software bugs andescalated issues.
Writestories to deliver functionality, including user interaction, systemintegration, or API level stories.
Interactwith the UX team to analyze customer experience and define key features andstories to translate them to scenarios for development automation test cases.
Prioritizethe maintenance of a healthy backlog, including updating and tracking defectsand documenting, analyzing, and proposing process changes.
Re-engineerbusiness approaches based on an understanding of technical problems andsolutions as they relate to current and future state business and technicalenvironments.
Participatein sprint ceremonies and review and approve stories for launch.
Telecommutingpermitted two days per week.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and five years of experience in software development. In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and two years of experience in software development.
Must have work experience in:
PerformingGap Analysis and Impact Analysis by identifying existing technologies anddocumenting the enhancements to meet the end-state requirements;
Building,deploying, and scaling applications in public cloud technologies, includingAWS, Azure, and GCP;
Working withproduct team to translate business and functional requirements into API UserStories;
CreatingREST APIs using Business Rules Engine and Business Process Modeling forconfiguration and utilization of Cloud technologies including PaaS andmicro-services to give scalability;
Translatingbusiness requirements to create tailored retail experience for passengers,including ticket prices, ancillary services (such as extra baggage, in-flightexperience, or seat upgrades), and loyalty rewards;
Determiningwhen to go to production and owning or collaborating on the ’Go to Market’plan; and
Releasemanagement.
