How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Senior Software Development Engineers in Atlanta, GA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design,prototype, and demonstrate new software features and components of front-endand back-end to users to ensure compliance with requirements.

  • Assist inthe design, implementation, and optimization of related approaches, tools, andworkflows.

  • Collaboratewith technical teams, business teams, and product managers to ensure that thecode that is developed meets their vision and design the solutions to meetfunctional and technical requirements.

  • Align toSecurity/Compliance frameworks and control requirements, own quality posture,and write automated tests before writing code.

  • Developdelivery pipelines and automated deployment scripts.

  • Configureservices such as databases and monitoring. Implement Service ReliabilityEngineering.

  • Fix problemsfrom the development phase through the production phase, which requires beingon-call for production support.

  • Telecommutingpermitted 2-3 days per week.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and four years of experience in IT development. In the alternative, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field and two years of experience in IT development.

Must have work experience with:

  • Java/J2EEdevelopment and hands-on troubleshooting;

  • Fullstack Cloud-native development, RESTful APIs, and microservices with Spring Boot;

  • Oracledatabases;

  • ApacheKafka, Apache Spark, and Apache NiFi;

  • DevOps:Git, Jenkins or Ansible;

  • Deployingapplications in AWS or Azure; and

  • AirlineIndustry experience in booking, PNRs, GDS integration, ticketing systems,pricing systems, and flight reservation systems.
