We are looking for a driven and curious Document Control Specialist to support our projects in Spartanburg, SC and Baton Rouge, LA. This person can work from any U.S. based location with occasional travel to these 2 project locations.
As a key member of our Technical Services construction support team, you’ll be coordinating and administering configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for specification and change documents directly related to the assigned project.

At least 3 years of Document Control experience
Experience with MS Office, SharePoint, Prolog Manager, AutoDesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Engineering in the Digital Age (EIDA) or similar EDMS systems.
Experience working on various projects to include coordinating and executing project issues to the construction team.
Document and manage the flow of information between client and other stakeholders.
Ensures that project data, documents, and information systems are properly organized, accessible, and secure through the project lifecycle.
Ensure contract support personnel are adequately trained on EDMS requirements
Manage flow of documents between client, construction team, and contractors.
Ensure project data and documentation is delivered in accordance with project procedures, work instructions, specifications, and project planning documents.
Develop and execute work plans as it relates to project’s EDMS platform.
Establish and execute auditing program to ensure data and documentation collection activities are meeting schedule and integrity expectations.
Work closely with project managers and team to ensure data and documentation needs are met in a timely manner.
Ensure the smooth transition of data, documentation, and drawings to the project and subsequently to the site.
Monitor issuance of latest work package transmittals and maintain Logs for latest revisions of latest transmittal, project specifications, and construction documents.
Assist with Construction Request for Information (RFI) confirming distribution to correct team members and tracking to resolution. Maintain RFI Log and associated Specification Deviation Log tracking progress and keeping onsite team informed of status.
Maintain consistent file structure for Technical Service documents within the EDMS systems.
Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:
Experience with Adobe Acrobat (writer), Excel, BlueBeam, Visio, and other MS Office applications
Experience with engineering, architectural, and construction documents (i.e., maps, drawings, technical specifications, etc.) experience is preferred
Strong communication skills and understanding of technical terminology.
Experience with EDMS systems; flow of documents, approval process, and engineering/construction packages
