Position Purpose:

The Designer supports facility projects across the THD Supply Chain organization. The role performs design and related drafting support activities for all active projects. The role is also responsible for maintaining the repository of drawings associated with the Supply Chain network.

Key Responsibilities:

• 35% Generate/maintain updated as-built drawings for all sites

• 30% Own the ongoing management of related drawings/designs

• 25% Design and detail TI drawings and composite layouts for operational layouts and related components for all active projects

• 10% Work w/ project management personnel to coordinate requested assignments

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

• This position reports to Sr Manager Logistics.

• This position has 0 direct reports.

Travel Requirements:

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.

• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to perform material and labor estimates

• Experience within the warehousing and distribution sector

• Experience with material handling systems and equipment design

Minimum Education:

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Competencies:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Proficient skills drafting with 2D AutoCAD

• Basic 3D design/drafting experience
