Stantec’s Site / Civil Engineering Land Development group is growing throughout Georgia. We are looking for “seller/doers” responsible for leading the pursuit and delivery of excellent work to our clients throughout the state of Georgia.
Stantec’s multi-disciplinary office in Atlanta, GA has an opportunity for a Business Lead to manage our Civil Engineering operations in the Georgia market. We are seeking a candidate with experience in people-leadership, project management, and business development. Market sectors in public and private areas development including streetscapes, parks, and residential, commercial, and industrial development.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule which consists of a minimum of three days in the office each week, and up to two days per week working remotely.
Your Key Responsibilities
Manage significant projects, coordinating with clients and government agencies, and Stantec’s local and regional teams.
Lead and implement business development strategies for new clients and strategic pursuits.
Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships and play a key role in client management and satisfaction.
Mentor and empower junior staff and other team members.
Plan and manage projects and tasks to complete them on time and within budget.
Oversee team and project metrics to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining profitability.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Experience with both private and public sector clients and projects.
Established network of relationships in Georgia is a plus.
Successful experience in responding to Requests for Qualifications, Requests for Proposals, and Statements of Qualifications.
Strong leadership, emotional intelligence, team building and communication skills.
Experience managing junior staff, client relationships, and complex projects.
Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the state of Georgia.
12+ years of progressive engineering and project management experience in relevant civil/site or land development engineering and project management in Georgia is preferred.
