Must be reliable and adaptable to changing customer needs, have dependable transportation and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Blue print reading and good math skills, knowledge of AutoCAD and TruTops programming experience highly preferred.
Performs all duties instructed with minimum supervision after training.
Overview: Operate CNC laser cutting machine and support the production team by assembling parts, operating machinery, bending, punching or sawing of metal products as instructed by supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Operate CNC laser cutting machine and other machinery used in the production process or assist other machine operators.
Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
Knowledge about shield gases used during laser cutting operation.
Monitor fill level of bulk tank system and report reordering levels to the supervisor.
Work in a fast-paced environment with dynamic prioritization.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
Follow all company rules, policies and quality standards.
Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually, or using hoist. Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
Solid background working with sheet metal, knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance.
Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.
Flexible schedule is required; this position is full time and requires shift work as well as some weekend work if required.
Qualifications: 2+ years of experience on Trumpf, Amada or similar CNC laser cutting machines
Education/Experience Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with two to five years job related experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods and lifting of a minimum of 50 lb. are required for this job.
