Job Purpose:
Maintain & Continuously improve Quality Management System to ensure that out going product is complying to specifications & customer needs with minimum quality cost. Develop/ define testing / screening methods at various stages of production up to final shipment. Initiate analysis & corrective actions in cases of non compliance. Support building quality systems in new product release project.
Key Responsibilities- Description of duties & activities
- Product Quality Assurance through Process Control & Compliance During Production :
Receiving Inspection of Critical Components against Specification
Auditing of critical production process & timely escalation of deviation cases for CAPA
Define quality screening parameters / test methods & sampling plan at appropriate production stages
Monitor fallout at each screening stations- initiate improvement actions to control the same
Prepare & Share quality KPI reports for MIS
- Continious Improvement
Decide annual Quality KPI targets & prepare action plan to achieve the same
Monitor the progress & timely raise alarm in case of deviation
Initiate CAPA in case of deviation
- People Management:
Lead, support & manage team of technicians
Train people with new / additional skill sets
- Support New Product Release
Review & revise quality check points / test methods & equipment’s
Coordinate to Prepare & execute Qualification plan
Gate keeper for all new product release projects.
5.· New Process / Machine Qualification
Prepare & execute qualification plan for new/revised process/ machine
Post change - monitor & control performance
Candidate Profile
Education and Professional Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s in mechanical / Production Engineering,.
· 3-5 years Experience of Working in Quality function
Requirements and Attributes:
K nowledge of Quality System Management like ISO9001
Knowledge of measurement / engineering drawing interpretation
Knowledge of various test methods / instruments – preferred CMM knowledge
Knowledge of various quality tools / FMEA / Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing
Strong problem solving & analytical skill
Good in planning & prioritizing activities
Interpersonal Relations, Teamwork and Communications
