Cost Accountant – Multi-Entity (Standard Cost Environment)
Location: Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville, or Athens, TN (Hybrid work flexibility)

What You’ll Own:
Command the standard cost system—lead BOM set-up, cost roll-ups, and on-the-ground costing accuracy.
Dive into deep-dish variance analyses—material, labor, and overhead—pinpointing root causes and delivering game-changing insights to leadership.
Inspect every penny: Review landed costs (freight, duties, handling) to ensure flawless product costing.
Conduct time studies and labor analyses to uncover efficiencies and exact labor costing.
Team up across operations, engineering, and supply chain to keep cost data airtight and in-sync.
Spearhead month-end and year-end closings for inventory and cost of goods sold.
Reconcile inventory and cost accounts, resolve discrepancies, and champion corrective strategies.
Produce powerful financial reports and present them directly to management.
Be audit-ready—supporting on inventory and costing.
Ignite and lead continuous improvement projects to fuel cost savings and profitability.

Requirements
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
3+ years of hands-on cost accounting experience in a standard cost environment.
Fluency in BOM set-up, landed cost calculations, variance analysis, and time studies.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
Comfortable with mid-scale ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, etc.).
Analytical, organized, proactive, and thrive in fast-paced, multi-entity settings.
