Our client, the manufacturing industry, is seeking a machine operator to join their team. As a machine operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the cast iron machining team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, self-motivation, and excellent teamwork abilities which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title:Machine Operator
Location: Athens, GA
Pay Range: $18
Shift: Night and Evening Shifts (2nd and 3rd shifts)
What's the Job?
Perform a variety of duties to machine cast iron parts to specifications
Set up and operate equipment efficiently and safely
Gauge parts and record work progress accurately
Work collaboratively with teammates to meet departmental goals
Assist maintenance in troubleshooting equipment issues
What's Needed?
Ability to set up all equipment for assigned tasks
Strong mechanical skills and self-motivation
Ability to understand verbal and written technical instructions in English
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and factory documentation
Willingness to work in an industrial manufacturing environment, including shift work
