Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical maintenance on conveyor systems, baler machines, and box-making machines. The role requires basic industrial electrical experience, including replacing 3-phase 480v motors and gear boxes, sensors, relays, and photo eyes. The Maintenance Technician will also assist in general building maintenance, including tasks such as drywall, painting, and plumbing.
Responsibilities
Maintain all building and packaging line equipment, as well as perform minor forklift and conveyor system maintenance in the distribution center.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain both mechanical and electrical systems.
Possess a good understanding of self-automated packaging line equipment.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain control wiring and electrical circuits.
Start up the air compressors in the morning and shut them down at the end of the shift.
Receive training on scissor and boom lifts.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in mechanical maintenance on conveyor systems, baler machines, and box-making machines.
Basic industrial electrical experience, including replacing 3-phase 480v motors and gear boxes.
Ability to replace sensors, relays, and photo eyes.
Experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems.
Knowledge of control wiring and electrical circuits.
Understanding of self-automated packaging line equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
General building maintenance skills, including drywall, painting, and plumbing.

Work Environment
The work environment is a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled, and well-organized 325,000 square foot distribution center. You will be working mainly on conveyor systems within a clean and organized setting, which includes a retail side for retail locations and an e-commerce side for online orders.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
