\ Now hiring a full-time Cleaning Technician to join a well-established production facility in Ashland. Benefits are available after the temp-to-hire period concludes.\ \ The Cleaning Technician will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the mill, as well as properly removing and disposing of debris and waste materials in a safe and efficient manner. This role includes cleaning industrial equipment, production areas, and support spaces to ensure the site remains safe, functional, and compliant with workplace safety regulations.\ \ Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning of sawmill floors, machinery, workstations, and common areas.
- Safely remove sawdust, wood chips, and other debris using appropriate tools such as brooms, vacuums, or industrial cleaning equipment.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces to prevent material buildup or contamination.
- Properly dispose of waste materials in accordance with jobsite guidelines.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Perform other relevant duties as required.
\ Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial cleaning preferred.
- Background check required.
