Low Voltage Technician
The Low Voltage Technician I is an entry‑level role supporting the installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems in commercial environments such as data centers. This position is ideal for candidates with up to one year of experience who have strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to grow in the low‑voltage industry.
Responsibilities:
Install, route, support, and terminate low‑voltage cabling (Cat 5, Cat 6, and fiber) per project drawings and industry standards
Pull cable using fish tape and approved methods; properly support cabling using trays, J‑hooks, D‑rings, and related hardware
Build and organize telecom closets, including racks, patch panels, backboards, and grounding
Perform basic fire‑stopping, labeling, documentation, and cable pre‑termination tasks
Follow safety guidelines, collaborate with team members, and complete required paperwork accurately
Qualifications:
0–1 year of experience in low‑voltage, structured cabling, or electrical work
Ability to read prints and follow installation documentation
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Work Environment:
Construction and commercial job sites (starting in Ashburn, VA, then Manassas, VA)
Physical role involving ladder work, cable pulling, and outdoor conditions
Standard construction schedule with required PPE

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashburn, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
