DescriptionJOB TITLE: SHIPPING FORKLIFT DRIVER JOB LOCATION: TASTEFUL SHIPPING SHIFT: SWING (3:00PM-11:30PM) REPORTS TO: SHIPPING SUPERVISOR PURPOSE: Move palletized product from one location to another, stack and restack product as directed. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must have Forklift Certification. Must be able to obtain a stand-up Forklift Certification. Must have shipping and warehouse loading experience. Must be familiar with Computer/Tablet device. Ability to safely drive a forklift on wet/dry cement floor. Must be able to use the double or single sit-down forklift. Must have experience driving a regular sit-down lift with a double blade attachment. Must be able to follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPS) Must have strong mathematical skills. Ability to read pallet IDs. Ability to fill out documents as required. Must have written and verbal communication skills. Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to work as a picker, loader, and mover when necessary. Must pass preplacement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation. PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bi-lingual English/Spanish, a plus. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Move appropriate pallets around cold storage, from cold storage to trailer and vice versa. Load trailer according to weight special instructions. Stack and restack product as required. Maintain even and constant flow of product. Load trailer according to pick list. Return unused product to cold storage immediately to proper location. Complete necessary paperwork to fulfill order. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to operate a computer and other productivity equipment. Ability to operate a forklift. Ability to work outdoors in various and sometimes extreme conditions. Ability to work on uneven terrain both on foot and while aboard moving equipment. Ability to inspect equipment and product. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100 to 115 F and as cold as -20 F to 32 F); must be able to work in a high noise area. Must wear corrective lenses if required/listed on drivers license. Must be able to move items weighing up to 60lbs for a distance of up to 2 feet.
