FLC Farm Worker in Armada, Michigan

REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 3/2/26-12/11/26. Must agree to 40 hr work week. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. Must read, and agree to, all terms and conditions of employment prior to a referral to the employer.

*SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: *Must have at least 3 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 60 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling.

 *JOB DUTIES: *Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: plant, transplant, trim, spray, weed, prune, hoe, stake, maintain, and harvest to quality standards vegetable, fruit, and tree crops; trim, train, trellis, prune, thin and tie plants and fruit trees; prepare fields/soil for planting; lay plastic weed barrier; maintain equipment, fields, orchards, and farm property; general farm clean up tasks, including mowing grass; drive and operate tractor, forklift, and other farm equipment to perform farm tasks; drive employer provided vehicle to and from the worksite and to other locations; drive trucks to deliver employer's product to market and storage locations; assemble, disassemble, operate and repair irrigation equipment; assemble, clean, maintain and repair bins, boxes, buckets, and containers; load/unload crops; press apples, grade, sort and pack produce to customer standards; maintain a clean packing area.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:

BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.

HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.

TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).

*WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: *Provided.

TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
