Amazon's Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) team seeks an innovative, results-oriented Sr. TIPM Electrical Engineer to drive design standards, system performance optimization and strategic initiatives for electrical building systems across Amazon's global corporate office portfolio. This role partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Facilities Management, Design, Sustainability, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), Construction, and Procurement teams to identify and resolve large-impact electrical issues, improve building performance, optimize design requirements, and enhance procurement strategies through data-driven analysis of construction documents and reporting, CMMS work orders and customer-submitted tickets.
The ideal candidate combines deep electrical engineering expertise with strong program management capabilities, using trend analysis and pattern recognition to proactively address recurring issues before they impact building operations. They will leverage work order data, customer ticket analytics, and building system performance metrics to prioritize solving high-impact electrical issues occurring across the global portfolio.
Key job responsibilities
Lead complex cross-functional electrical infrastructure programs from concept through delivery
Manage electrical system upgrades, retrofits, and standardization initiatives across multiple regions
Coordinate with Design & Construction teams to improve electrical design requirements based on operational feedback
Oversee electrical vendor performance, develop KPIs, and establish SLAs to drive accountability
Develop and maintain global electrical design standards and specifications for office buildings
Create operational guidelines and SOPs for electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting
Identify opportunities for electrical system performance optimization and energy efficiency improvements
Establish performance metrics and KPIs for electrical systems across the portfolio
Partner with Facilities Management teams to understand operational pain points and electrical system challenges
Collaborate with Procurement to optimize electrical equipment selection and vendor strategies
Work with regional engineering teams to implement global standards while respecting local requirements
Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex electrical issues
Analyze Engineering work orders and customer tickets to identify patterns, trends, and recurring electrical issues across the 600+ building global portfolio
Prioritize and develop solutions for high-impact electrical problems based on frequency, severity, and business impact
Conduct root cause analysis on systemic electrical failures to prevent recurrence
Create dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track electrical system performance and issue resolution

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program management or technical project management experience
Experience implementing process improvements
Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
6+ years of experience in building systems engineering
Strong understanding of commercial building MEP systems and operations
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer License
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience working with global teams and diverse partners
Experience working across teams and influencing teams that are not your own
Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
Certifications such as Chartered Engineer (CEng), LEED AP, PMP, or HBDP
Experience managing electrical programs for large, global real estate portfolios (500+ buildings)
Knowledge of vertical transportation systems (elevators, lifts)
Knowledge of building automation systems, controls, and smart building technologies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
