Job Description:
Cydecor is seeking experienced Strategic Planners to support G-5 Strategic Planning activities at the Service Component and DoD level. This role focuses on developing strategic-level planning products, conducting risk assessments, and supporting senior leader decision-making related to force posture, long-range planning, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
Provide strategic and operational installation planning support to MCICOM G-5 in support of Marine Corps basing programs, initiatives, and special projects.
Support development of installation-related plans, policies, processes, and directives, including enterprise basing, force design, joint basing, and facility planning initiatives.
Develop and staff planning products, including IPLANs, PLANORDs, OPORDs, CONPLANs, Letters of Instruction, briefings, and staff packages.
Conduct planning analysis and operational assessments to inform dashboards, reports, and leadership decision-making.
Assist with readiness reporting and assessments, including DRRS inputs and higher-headquarters reporting requirements.
Analyze and contribute to risk assessments, organizational risk estimates, and strategic planning inputs.
Support PPBE/POM planning activities, including development of planning guidance and coordination of installation investment requirements.
Collaborate with HQMC, MCICOM regions, Deputy Commandant staffs, MARFORs, TECOM, PP&O, I&L, and joint stakeholders to ensure alignment and deconfliction.
Support conference, meeting, and working group planning, including agenda development, coordination, note-taking, and after-action reporting.
Manage and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Congressional or public inquiries related to installation planning and basing actions.
Research and analyze strategic guidance, policy, doctrine, and data to support installation planning and force modernization efforts.
Maintain and organize planning records, tools, and collaboration sites (SharePoint, Teams, NIPRNET/SIPRNET) in accordance with policy.
Utilize and support planning and analytics tools to improve performance, resource allocation, and installation readiness.
Here's what you need:
10 years of military experience
Bachelor's Degree (required)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Experience using Adobe Acrobat for document preparation and management
Experience with information and knowledge management
Demonstrated experience preparing information papers and memorandums for the record
Experience with risk management, including analyzing and writing risk narratives
Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for senior-level audiences
Bonus Points If You Have:
Senior-level Staff Officer assignment (General Staff / 2-4 Star level)
Master's Degree
Completion of Service Level Intermediate Professional Military Education
Completion of School of Advanced Warfighting (SAW), School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), or Joint Force equivalent
10 years of experience as an analyst or program manager at the Service Component Headquarters or DoD level
Experience with community planning and/or facilities asset management
Experience supporting military basing programs
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Active security clearance
Security Clearance:
