Location: Arlington, VA

This sub family is responsible for writing and maintaining source code, creating and maintaining software applications and applying frameworks involved in a software release. Duties include computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release life cycle and resulting in a software product. Expertise in one or more programming language is required.

Impact: Works to achieve key project/program objectives and deliverables. Responsible for entire projects or processes spanning multiple technical areas. Manages large projects or processes with moderate impact on the achievement of sub-family results.

Complexity: Develops solutions to complex technical issues and problems that impact multiple area or disciplines. Regularly employs ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions and systems in order to achieve functional objectives.

Communication: Communicates with internal team members across multiple areas and client team members. May communicate with parties external to the organization (e.g., sub-contractors, vendors, etc.). Works to influence project/team leaders regarding solution design, process and/or approaches.

Leadership & Talent Management: Requires expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Typically requires BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.

Ideal candidates will have the following:

• Analyze, design, code and update software for new features and performance improvements.

• Strong experience in C++ software development.

• Experience with interface communication standards / protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and DDS.

• Advanced knowledge of the Linux operating system.

• Demonstrated experience with Docker and Kubernetes (RKE2) in containerization, Kubernetes management and automation technologies.

• Collaborate with all teams to support software deployments and integrations.

• Experience with software source control and configuration management tools.

Position Details:

  • Pay Rate / Range:_$97.43-$102.43

The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position’s responsibilities; the candidate’s experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
