Role Overview: Pricing Director

Arlington, VA | In office , Monday Friday

CoStar Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSGP) , a global provider of commercial real estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces, is seeking a highly motivated, adaptable, business-minded Pricing Director to join its Finance & Facilities Department. This role is designed for a strategic finance leader who will design, govern, and optimize enterprise pricing strategies to drive revenue growth, profitability, and competitive positioning, and who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume commercial environment. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted partner to Finance, Sales, Product, Revenue Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure pricing decisions are data-driven, scalable, and aligned with the company’s financial and growth objectives.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer , this role owns pricing architecture, deal economics, discount governance, and pricing analytics, while building strong processes that balance growth, margin, and customer value. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial judgment, an operational mindset, and a desire to partner with the business on both execution and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Governance

  • Lead the development and execution of company-wide pricing strategies across products, services, and customer segments.

  • Establish andmaintainpricing frameworks, discount structures, approval thresholds, and governance models.

  • Evaluate and recommend pricing changes based on market dynamics, customer behavior, competitive intelligence, and financial performance.

Financial & Analytical Leadership

  • Directpricing analytics, including price-volume-mix analysis, margin analysis, elasticity modeling, and scenario forecasting.

  • Partner with FP&A to model thefinancial impactof pricing initiatives on revenue, margin, and long-term growth.

  • Develop dashboards and executive-level reporting to track pricing performance and inform decision-making.

Deal Support & Commercial Partnership

  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex or strategic deals, ensuring disciplined pricing and margin protection.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Sales Operations, and Legal to support deal structures, contract terms, and non-standard pricing requests.

  • Balance commercial flexibility with financial rigor to enable growth while protecting enterprise value.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product and Go-To-Market teams on pricing for new products, bundles, packaging, and launches.

  • Support value-based pricing initiatives by translating customer value into monetization strategies.

  • Align pricing strategy with broader revenue, product, and customer segmentation strategies.

Process Excellence

  • Design scalable pricing processes, tools, and controls that support growth and operational efficiency.

  • Drive continuous improvement in pricing discipline, data quality, and decision-making cadence.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related fieldfrom an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university. 

  • MBA orMaster'sdegreein Finance, or a related field.

  • 12 years of professional experience,at leastfiveof which should beexperience in pricing, finance, commercial strategy, or related roles.

  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven experience partnering with senior executives and cross-functional leaders.

  • Deep understanding of pricing strategies, deal economics, and revenue models (e.g., subscription, SaaS,activity-based, or enterprise contracts).

  • A track record of commitment to prior employers.   

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B, SaaS, data, technology, or analytics-driven organizations.

  • Prior experience working closely with Sales and Product organizations.

  • PriorCRE experience.

  • Familiarity with pricing tools, CPQ systems, and advanced analytics platforms.
