Behavioral Health Referral Specialist - PRN

Work location: Texas Health Resources, 612 E. Lamar Arlington, TX 76011
Work hours: PRN (As Needed) Monday - Friday, 6:00AM-10:00PM and Saturday/Sunday 8:00AM - 8:00PM - 4 shift per month minimum requirement
Must be available for onboarding and training in person.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Or
Associate's Degree Preferred
Experience
1 Year Customer Service Experience Required and
1 Year In a contact center environment, referral processing and scheduling experience and/or healthcare environment. Preferred and
1 Year Behavioral healthcare experience Preferred and
1 Year of clinic scheduling, referral navigation and benefit verification and insurance verification Preferred
What You Will Do
Manages work time effectively and supports team in answering customer calls/contacts to meet service level goals.
Process and complete scheduling of referrals as directed by referring provider, following department protocols and expectations.
Utilizes exceptional customer service skills to communicate with patient, referring and service providers, and clinic staff to complete referrals accurately and expediently to minimize errors and reduce delays in care.
Completion of patient registration including verification of benefits and patient estimates.
Documents referral information in tracking program to be consistent with documentation in the EMR.
Messaging leadership/referring provider/ or designated clinic staff any and all patient care related concerns or relevant information.
Redirecting clinical conversations to clinical personnel.
Provides quality customer service through effective communication skills and use of knowledge of THR Behavioral health Services.
Continuously builds on knowledge base of THR behavioral health services, programs and marketing activities and strives to provide added value to each customer contact.
