Job Title: Test Technician
Job Description
As a Test Technician, you will utilize your expertise to troubleshoot assembly or system-level failures to the component level, ensuring they can be repaired effectively. You will work closely with Test Engineers and customers to enhance your understanding of product functionality. Your role will also involve providing support for test equipment issues and utilizing various tools to create, analyze, and verify documentation and processes.
Responsibilities
Use test failure reports, schematics, datasheets, and other tools to accurately troubleshoot assembly or system-level failures to the component level.
Collaborate with Test Engineers and customers to gain further knowledge of functionality when information is not available.
Provide break-fix support for test equipment.
Utilize appropriate tools to perform necessary work, including the creation, analysis, and verification of documentation, programs, models, processes, or production.
Demonstrate a basic, discipline-specific understanding of how to support the full processes/Product Requirements & Specifications as it applies to your role.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, schematics, electronics, troubleshooting, multimeters, and network analyzers.
Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
At least 2 years of experience working with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.
Experience in tracking bugs and defects and developing solutions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Any software programming experience is a plus.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington Heights, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
