Job overview and responsibilities
Provides leadership and direction to team of Maintenance Controllers and well as indirect leadership to maintenance personnel at line stations and out stations not directly staffed by United personnel. This position is responsible for the direction of all Tech Operations Maintenance Control functions on a shift basis. The primary duties involve oversight to ensure all flights in the United system are complaint with both federal and internal standards as applicable to maintenance quality and dispatch. This position also has ultimate authority on a shift basis for the maintenance plan and execution as well as airworthy and maintenance release applications. This position provides a central real-time contact and decision point concerning go-no-go maintenance decisions.
Compliance and Oversight:
Provides leadership to ensure total compliance to standards
Ensures total adherence to quality standards set forth in corporate and division directives
Represents Technical Operations on a shift basis to both internal and external bodies
Provides Ultimate Authority for Technical go-no-go Decisions on a Shift Basis
Provides direction and decision when other bodies cannot reach agreement on compliance and dispatch solution
Performance/Accountability:
Ensures Controllers under their direction are performing job functions at or above set standards
Facilitates investigations and fact finding inquiries
Administers accountability and recognition as warranted
Collaboration with Network Operation Center Disciplines
Facilitates cross functional interaction with NOC disciplines (OPB/DD/FO/SW/LP/SK)
Ensures collaborative environment consistent with NOC standards on a shift basis for all Tech Ops Control Employees:
Provide Timely and Accurate Support to Overall Line Maintenance Organization
Leverage all needed resources to ensure line stations are adequately supported
Facilitate first time fix plans and philosophy
Facilitate customer centered philosophy to ensure engagement with all line maintenance stakeholders
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
FAA Airframe and Power Plant License
Minimum 5 Years Line Maintenance and experience in Tech Ops Maintenance Control
Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
BA/BS Degree in Related Field
10 Years Line Maintenance with Supervisory/Management Experience including Tech Ops Maintenance Control
Access- Data Base Experience
The base pay range for this role is $140,600.00 to $183,108.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
