Job overview and responsibilities
The Technical Operations Line Planning team is currently seeking a leader with a strong passion for aircraft maintenance, operational planning, strategy, and innovation. This person is a proactive self-starter who is detail-oriented, innovative, and has a strong understanding of Aircraft Line Maintenance Planning. You will develop and implement new processes and manage strategic initiatives that address the operational impact of Aircraft Line Maintenance Planning on station resource utilization, fleet growth, and fleet maintenance programs. This person establishes and maintains strong business relationships across the Technical Operations teams and serves as the interface point of contact. This position requires a technology-based mindset and the ability to work alongside our Digital Technology department to guide, develop, test, and implement new software platforms. To be successful, the qualified candidate will require professionalism, integrity, a strong work ethic, and the aptitude to identify challenges and produce solutions to support Aircraft Line Maintenance Planning.
Own the Line Planning Projects & Innovation portfolio by setting priorities, sequencing work, aligning resources, and governing the delivery of major initiatives involving digital tools, process redesign, training, change management, and cross-functional improvement efforts
Serve as the lead cross-functional point of contact for Line Planning initiatives by partnering with Digital Technology, Data Engineering, Reliability, NOC Operations, Maintenance Control, Engineering, stations, and other stakeholders to align scope, resolve barriers, and maintain executive-level visibility on strategic work
Lead the strategy and governance for process standardization, training design, and change management across Line Planning, ensuring new processes and tools are documented, scalable, sustainable, and aligned to departmental priorities and future-state operation needs
Serve as the senior operational sponsor for Line Planning technology solutions and enhancements by guiding requirements, testing strategy, implementation priorities, issue resolution, and adoption plans for new and existing digital platforms
Own initiative performance, KPI tracking, and benefits realization by measuring the operational and business impact of projects and innovations, translating long-term plans into measurable improvements in reliability, productivity, cost, customer performance, and workforce effectiveness
Lead and develop the Projects & Innovation Team by setting expectations, coaching managers, and SMEs, identifying capability and staffing needs, managing team capacity, and building a strong internal pipeline for future leadership roles
Support the Director and Line Planning leadership team on strategic planning and enterprise initiatives by identifying emerging opportunities, recommending solutions, shaping communications, and ensuring the Projects & Innovation roadmap remains aligned with broader Technical Operations priorities
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Aviation Technology, or Management, or related field 10+ years of related experience
Working knowledge of Maintenance Programs, Aircraft Routing, Aircraft Maintenance Operations, and FAA/Regulatory Compliance
7+ years of experience in Airline Operations Management and/or Planning
Up to 20% travel
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $127,870.00 to $166,492.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
