D&D Commodities Mill Operator in Argyle, Minnesota
Mill Operator *$1,000 Hiring Bonus D&D Commodities, a business unit of Central Garden & Pet Company, is a leader in the bird food manufacturing industry. We are searching for a Mill Operator for our Argyle, MN location. This position is essential in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of receiving and processing commodities and mill equipment, contributing to the production of high-quality products. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work in fast-paced environments with tight schedules and deadlines. Key Responsibilities: * Receive and test commodities, unload trucks, and transport materials to designated bins in a timely and efficient manner. * Operate and monitor mill machinery to clean and process incoming commodities in a safe and responsible manner. * Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, clear jams, and resolve obstructions in machinery when necessary. * Safely operate forklifts, skid steers, and tractors to move materials, transfer commodities, and assist with silo clean-up. * Perform quality control checks and tests to ensure product consistency and compliance with standards. * Monitor and regulate commodity flow to ensure optimal product quality and continuous mill operation. * Accurately weigh and measure ingredients, maintaining detailed records. * Clean and maintain indoor and outdoor work areas, machinery, and commodity handling areas, adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations.
